The much-anticipated Annual Cultural Festival is returning to Mubeeya Tourism Cultural Center this June, promising an even bigger celebration of Uganda's diverse cultural heritage than previous years.

Festival Highlights

This year's festival will feature performances from over 20 different ethnic groups from across Uganda, showcasing traditional music, dance, and storytelling. Visitors can expect:

  • Live performances throughout the day on three different stages
  • Interactive workshops on traditional crafts and instruments
  • A marketplace featuring authentic Ugandan crafts and foods
  • Special children's activities and cultural education programs
  • Evening gala with performances by renowned cultural troupes
Highlights from last year's festival

Expanded Programming

Building on last year's success, the festival will run for three days instead of two, with each day focusing on a different region of Uganda:

Day 1: Northern Uganda

10:00 AM - Opening ceremony with Acholi dancers

12:00 PM - Traditional food tasting

2:00 PM - Storytelling session with elders

Day 2: Western Uganda

10:00 AM - Bakiga dance performance

12:00 PM - Basket weaving workshop

2:00 PM - Royal drumming demonstration

Day 3: Eastern Uganda

10:00 AM - Kadodi dance troupe

12:00 PM - Traditional costume display

2:00 PM - Closing ceremony
